The victim of the firearm assault had been transported to a Dothan Hospital by private vehicle.
The investigation revealed that the victim was at 220 Meadows Rd.
The offender who has been identified as Mekhi Rajan Telfair, drove by 220 Meadows Rd and words were exchanged between the victim and offender.
The offender Telfair drove down the road then came back to 220 Meadows Rd. exited his vehicle, the victim stepped off the porch toward Telfair as they exchanged words. Telfair pulled a handgun from behind his back and shot the victim two times. Telfair fled the scene.
Telfair was located a short time later and taken into custody without incident.
