On March 04, 2021 at or about 2:15 a.m. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1118 E. Saunders Rd. in reference to a reported edged weapon assault.
Upon arrival on the scene it was determined the victim Mario Cuz Caal was deceased.
The cause of death appeared to be from a stab wound to the chest.
The victim’s son who woke up and attempted to stop the offender Edwardo Cuz Hor was also assaulted by Cuz Hor with the knife, non life threatening injuries. Edward Cuz Hor then fled the scene on foot.
Deputies with HCSO observed Edward Cuz Hor walking down Hodgesville Rd and Middleton Rd. Deputies took Edward Cuz Hor into custody without incident at or about 3:45 a.m.
